Current Rate
Since 2025, child benefit is 255 Euro per child per month - uniform for all children. The payment is tax-free and deposited directly into your account.
Entitlement Requirements
- Children up to age 18 (automatically)
- Up to age 25 during education or studies
- For unemployed children up to age 21
Child Supplement (Kinderzuschlag)
Families with low income can receive up to 292 Euro additional child supplement per child per month on top of child benefit. This is designed to prevent families from needing citizens' allowance.
